Personal Development (PSHE & SMSC)

Life Skills & Independence

  • Daily routines, food hygiene, safety, health, and community access. 
  • Residential trips and enrichment activities. 

Work-Related Learning

  • Careers Days, employer talks, job simulations. 
  • On-site jobs and mini-enterprises (e.g., car washing, laminating, gardening). 
  • CV writing and interview practice. 

 

Transition & Family Support 

For Students: 

  • EHCP reviews include transition planning from Year 9 onward. 
  • Access to college open days and supported visits. 

For Parents: 

  • Guidance provided at annual reviews. 
  • Signposting to post-16 options and adult social care. 
  • Dedicated support from the Transition Lead and Family Support Worker. 
  • Preparation for Adulthood information booklet available for families.
